Dont need a full group, we had 2 r/rt covering all 5 rangers in tombs about 3 weeks ago. I have never, and I mean never seen the darknesses go down so fast either .

Ok, here is what i do and maybe u like it too, in case u aren't afraid of farming with a friend or guildie:

Equip both of them with barrage, one should be a rit/ra the other one doesn't matter as long as he's got barrage and ranger as secondary.
Two flatbows and eoe is required, too.

Now: Leave from Venta Cemetery and go to Mizah Veldrunner in Turrai's Proceesion and take the " Battle of Turais Procession " quest.

Wait for the first mob of Margonites to kill the horses, wait till they are bunched up nicely, place eoe in a safe spot, distribute splinter weapon and have a shot at the pack:

Bang, they all drop dead

Now wait for the next pack to arrive and repeat the procedure

There are at least 75 margonites and a necro boss u are going to kill which is 4 waves of margonites all in all

Works good with a lightbringer rank of 4 or higher, haven't tried it below 4 since all my chars have rank 4 or higher
The whole run takes like 5-10 minutes and nets around 1.5k + the occasional gold drop or better runes

umm i have a problem the flesh goelms notice what im doing and they seem very fast im usning dragos vamp flatbow, all the tohers seem fine but if there there then they sit on all the loot ive made and i cant kill them as i have to run too far to loose agro and they always kill my eoe. any tips for theses?

Do NOT set EoE when killing the golems, they use harriers haste and will follow you for a little bit, just do not stop running until they are done chasing you, then wait for them to settle and repeat the process, they take a little while longer to kill. The only groups you should not set EoE for are the golems, horrors, and the mixed groups.

Go on wiki and look up the quest, it will tell you what groups come in what order so you know ahead of time to lay down EoE or not.

The golems can be a hassle, you just need to find the proper agro pulling for it. Set the EoE accordingly and you'll have np

Thanks guys I did manage to kill them in the end but after putting down 4 eoe's lol, i think next time i might not put 1 down till they're at 5% or something.

does running or been far away(flatbow range) make you miss the drop??
I kill 3 groups(18mobs) already and only 7 drops:S

I guess it's rit becouse with higher channeling, comes a more powerfull splinter weapon, and lower marksmanship doesn't lower your barrage damage that much.

I would think rit would be faster, but you also have to have only 9 in wilderness survival so you can pump beast mastery high enough to make sure you kill any stragglers.

im having trouble, i seem to always get the odd stragler, and can never kill him, i go in and use that skill, and he uses grenths on me, so i triy and just shoot him, but he regens fasters then i can do dmg..

For hungers, use an armor set with 105 hp.

Make sure you have at least 8 in beast mastery, and that they group settles before you attack, that way you should not get the straggler, if there is one left all the time, try it with a rt/r, I never have that problem since splinter and barrage is doing over 250 damage each time I attack.

don't need 2nd set armor, use nightmare weapon and dual shot. Use the same tactic to kill the last stragler.

anyway, I use rit, and usually takes 4-5 barrage to kill 1 grp. I never need eoe.

I'm sure i remember someone going on and on about this build and how 'pwnd' them... sorta bragging about it in a pointless way.

What was said then still stands. Its not worth it. You can only kill 6 instead of 12-18 like with Trapping. You have an extremely high risk of getting a Golem up the arse since they don't understand the concept of breaking agro. Any decent loot dropped is irrelevant becuase you can't go get it till all mobs are dead because they'd chase you down.

I would also say this is definaly faster with a rit...The damage from Barrage is almost irrelevant compared to the damage from Splinter Weapon.

I tried this out but the Stygian Golems would just follow me so I died... But it worked very well up to that point.

With trapping you usually go in a 2-3 man team, with this it is all solo, and only takes 30 minutes on a long run with my rit, I usually kill them all in about 20 minutes. I cannot comment on the speed of the ranger, since I do not have one but it is obvious it would take longer since splinter weapon does not do nearly as much damage.

If you always use the 33% speed buff to run from the golems, and you use a flat bow, there is no reason at all that you should get killed by them, they only chase for a little bit, just keep running until they stop.
